Know the page count before you print.

The page count accounts for the printable margin around every sheet and the repeated strip used to align neighboring pages. A larger safe margin or overlap means each page covers slightly less of the finished poster.

Real printers can impose different minimum margins. Check the printer manual or run thefree scaling test before an exact-size project.

A4 measures 210 × 297 mm and is standard in most countries. US Letter measures 8.5 × 11 inches and is common in the United States, Canada, and parts of Latin America.

Choose the paper that is actually loaded in the printer; changing the paper size can change both rows and columns.
