Exact-size mode is useful for craft templates, sewing patterns, event signs, props, and reference drawings. Enter the finished width and height, then choose your paper size and orientation.

Common presets include 8 × 10, 11 × 14, 16 × 20, 18 × 24, 24 × 36, A2, and A1. You can swap the width and height for a landscape print.

The PDF page boxes carry the intended physical dimensions. Your printer can still override them, so select Actual size or 100% and measure the free test square when precision matters.

Fit keeps the whole image visible inside the requested dimensions. Fill covers the entire area and lets you move the crop from left to right or top to bottom.

How do I print an image at an exact size?

Choose Exact size, enter the finished width and height, and export the PDF. Print at Actual size or 100% so the printer preserves those dimensions.

Why is my printed image slightly smaller?

The print dialog may be scaling the PDF to fit the printable area. Choose Actual size or 100% and use the calibration sheet to verify the printer.

Can I print a 16 × 20 inch image on regular paper?

Yes. Choose the 16 × 20 in preset and select A4 or US Letter paper. PageToPoster splits the image across the required sheets while preserving the finished dimensions.

Can I print A1 or A2 using A4 paper?

Yes. Choose the A1 or A2 preset, select A4 paper, and download the tiled PDF. Print at Actual size or 100% before joining the labeled sheets.

Why do the pages overlap?

A small repeated edge makes alignment easier. Trim the marked edge of one sheet, place it over the matching image on the next sheet, then tape from behind.

Will this work with a home printer?

Yes. The default safe margin works with common inkjet and laser printers. Use the free printer scaling test if exact physical size matters.

What image quality do I need?

The live preview estimates effective image DPI. Above 150 DPI is crisp at close range. Lower values can still work for wall posters viewed from a few feet away.
